About

Biswa Gouri Charitable Trust

Biswa Gouri Charitable Trust (BGCT) was founded in 2009 as a result of Founder Sarbani Mallick’s journey and desire to include neurodivergent individuals in all spheres of life. BGCT works to create valued lives for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and other Developmental Disabilities. What started as a humble beginning today provides support to neurodiverse individuals and their families through a lifecycle approach. BGCT also works towards empowering like-minded organizations with the best practices followed in its own centres.

What we Do

At Biswa Gouri Charitable Trust (BGCT), we work with children and adults on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities through a lifecycle approach that nurtures growth, skills, and inclusion.

Our journey begins at Bubbles Centre for Autism, our special school where children receive holistic education and therapies tailored to their individual needs, helping them build a strong foundation in academics, communication, self-care, and social skills.

As they grow, many transition to Pragati Towards Livelihood, our vocational training centre for young adults aged 15 and above. Here, they develop vocational and workplace skills that lead to work readiness and greater independence.

From there, some join our Supported Workstation (Pathwaysto Livelihood), where they take on real production projects in areas like mosaic art, block printing, digital printing, weaving, embroidery and textiles - earning a stipend while honing their skills.

We also run an Outreach Program that extends beyond our own classrooms - training other NGOs and organisations in the disability space, sharing our best practices, and reaching socio - economically disadvantaged communities to ensure more children and families have access to quality support. In everything we do, we aim to create valued lives and build an inclusive society where every person can thrive.
