About Bubbles Centre for Autism
Started in 2009, Bubbles Centre for Autism is the school program of Biswa Gouri Charitable Trust. At Bubbles Centre for Autism, trained professionals work with each child on Functional Academics, Self-Care, effective Communication, Pre vocation and social skills. The school program caters to close to 55 children at present. We have touched over 500 children and their families during our 15 year journey. Bubbles Centre for Autism addresses the learning needs of children in the age group of 3 – 15 years diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities using evidence based practices such as Structured Teaching methods.
Students are divided into classes based on their age and skill levels. Individualised Education Plans are created to help each child in achieving goals carefully developed based on the child’s levels by a team of Subject Matter Experts and the teachers.
To ensure best services to the students, teachers are regularly trained in the best practices, monitored and mentored by Subject Matter Experts.
Bubbles Centre for Autism works towards making a positive difference in the quality of life of both children and their families. We provide a holistic program including Special Education, Language and communication, Occupational therapy and Arts Based therapy to teach the students. At Bubbles, parents are believed to play a crucial role in the life of a child. We focus on parent empowerment through parent counselling, training and sensitization, home visits and guidance from experts as required.
Community engagement through volunteering activities, inclusive events, field trips and outings are an important part of creating awareness in the society about Autism that is undertaken regularly at Bubbles.
